There’s Music in Every Child: Repertoire

One way to bring out the “music in every child” is through imaginative repertoire.  We have found that students often respond in a meaningful way to pieces with descriptive titles.  We will explore two such pieces, “On the Lake, ” Op. 77, No. 12, by Hofman, and “Stars and Wind” by Catherine Rollin (Alfred Publishing, used by permission).

In the first video, a student describes the scene he imagines when listening to “On the Lake.”
